Volunteering Opportunities

Whether you are volunteering on the day of the festival or joining the committee there are many ways in which you can help make our community festival a success.

Without volunteers our community festival simply cannot go ahead so we are grateful for your help.

Our community festival is free to attend because of the generous grants available from our local government and the kind donations of our sponsors and the people willing to put in the time and effort to bring it all together for a day of fun, entertainment, and an opportunity to showcase our community.

Now if you like the idea of volunteering but would like to be more involved, our event committee is completely made up of volunteers!
We spend the year planning this festival and we love every second of it. And we're always looking for new members to add their ideas and creative spirit to our festival committee.

Festival day Volunteering

Our festival is completely run by volunteers; from the committee that spends the year planning the festival, to our many volunteers on the day that tirelessly help setup, pack up, and ensure the event runs safely and smoothly.

Without these people we simply could not run an event of this size and quality. They say many hands make light work and if you could lend us yours for just an hour or two, it would make a huge impact.

Come a little early, or stay a little late. Enjoy Arbor Green from the prime viewing spot of our Info Tent. Explore the whole festival area as a steward. There are so many options to contribute and be a part of this cherished local institution to ensure it continues for another 30 years. Why not bring a friend and make it an annual tradition? 

Production Team

There is a lot to be setup before the festival can even start, our Production Team provide the might and magic that brings our festival to life. There are marquees to raise, signs to post and decorations to hang. It's also a great way to meet the committee and the other volunteers. So come early and give us a hand, even if it's just for an hour it helps a lot, and best of all, you'll already be at the festival when it starts.

And  if you can we'd love if you hung around afterwards to help us pack it all back up again...

Info Tent

Our Info Tent is exactly what you'd expect it to be, the place everyone comes when they need to find something. They hand out maps, sell raffle tickets and engage with our community. It's also out of the sun and has a great view of the stage.

Stage Runners

Now if you're got energy to burn then we have a job for you. Our runners do just that, making sure people are where they need to be, when they need to be there. You'll be a lifeline between our MCs and stage managers and the rest of the event.

Stewards

This is a roving position, so you'll see the whole festival, as you wrangle crowds, direct traffic and keep our festival organised and safe. Stewards are all about spotting problems before they become problems. You do need to be a confident and a little loud for this position but it's also a great way to build those skills.
