WE NEED YOUR HELP: SUPPORT THE 2024 SHERWOOD COMMUNITY FESTIVAL RAFFLE TO ENSURE THE FESTIVAL CONTINUES
Unexpectedly torrential rain on Saturday forced the cancellation of our festival on Saturday. As a volunteer committee, we were devastated, as 100s of hours of preparation over the year went to waste. We also know the impact this has had on all the entertainers and small businesses who were due to appear at the festival, and depend on events like this for their livelihoods.
We need your support with our raffle.
We need to make sure that the festival is strong enough to continue into 2025. All proceeds will help ensure that we do the best possible for everyone affected by the cancellation. We have had great support from local businesses who have donated the $2000+ in prizes. Raffle tickets can be purchased at RaffleLink and will be drawn on November 30. If you previously purchased a paper ticket prior to the festival, these will be combined together for the final draw.
Join us at Sherwood Community Festival 2024
16th November 2024, 2pm to 8pm
At Sherwood Arboretum
I am excited to announce that the Sherwood Community Festival will be held at Sherwood Arboretum again this year, with a focus on the Nature of 4075 and an exciting lineup of free entertainment and fun for all ages.
We have an absolutely amazing crew and we're looking forward to delivering more than ever before. Arbor Green Stage will return, as well as Fig Tree Grove Stage, Festival Green, and Buskers' Corner, giving us a variety of platforms to showcase the variety in our local talent.
The Arts Hub will return with a number of exciting activities and workshops, along with the always popular Decoration Station. Our amazing Markets will bring you excellent food and curious wares featuring local artists and community groups.
Each year we learn from the past and refine Sherwood Festival to be more appealing and inclusive of the diversity within our community, bringing together businesses, volunteer groups, sporting clubs, performers. We hope that you will join us this year for what will be a fun, engaging, and safe festival. Thank you for your ongoing support and we look forward to seeing you in November.
Many hands make lighter work so if you're interested in joining the committee or helping out the festival, please get in touch!
Yours Sincerely,
Sophie Julian
