After presenting the Light Up Sherwood in 2020 the Sherwood Community Festival committee wanted to deliver something bigger to the neighbourhood this year. It is very important to us to uphold the festival’s core values of supporting local business and bringing the neighbourhood together, however we also value the community’s wellbeing and must mitigate any risks involved with delivering a festival under current circumstances by ensuring that our event does not pose a risk of spreading the virus and that we comply with government regulations.

The 2021 Sherwood Community Festival will be delivered as a series of events across November and December, offering targeted support for local businesses with better management and flexibility in the event of Covid restrictions. These events will take the form of:

Family Fun Day - Saturday, 13th November

Sherwood Festival Food Week - 13th to 21st November

Community Carols - Saturday, 4th December

Festive Lights - mid-November to late December

It has been a challenging and unpredictable time for many of us and I am proud to lead a committee of volunteers who, like you, are dedicated to sustaining the wonderful community spirit our neighbourhood has. I also want to thank our sponsors who are vital in ensuring the festival can occur.
